Wintry Calm (so in love with the wrong world)

Summary: Camelot has been divided for as long as Arthur can remember; the Great Wall stretches from one end of the city to the other. On one side you have the rich, and the pure. On the other, a child is hanged for possessing magic and everyone is living on the edge.

Then, one day, Arthur Pendragon looks out of his window to see two dark haired teenagers curled on the doorstep. Slowly he and his girlfriend, Gwen, learn how they came to be there, fall in love with everyone but each other, and begin to tear down the wall.

Mod note: Very sweet, and I enjoyed Merlin worming his way into Arthur’s world. The setting of the story and the Arthur/Merlin dynamic are vaguely reminiscent of ‘A Binding Contract,’ for fans of the fandom classic. A great story. =)

The Burdens Of Your Blues

Summary: Boarding school was about as expected – rich and stuck-up and boring – until a group of robed crazies try to make the school bully the vessel for their shiny blue diamond. Then there’s suddenly a lot more in Merlin’s life, like swords, spells and late-night room switches.
